WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING

We conduct WARDA Women Against Rape & Domestic Abuse (R)training and workshops for Private groups; Government groups; School and University students; Corporates; Organizations; Church groups. We conduct training in a variety of sexual assault, sexual abuse and domestic abuse topics ranging from rape, date rape and relationship abuse. Contact us if you, your group or organization is interested in sponsoring and hosting a WARDA Women Against Rape & Domestic Abuse (R) workshop/ seminar.

Monthly WARDA® Counter-Assault Training Classes

The Marion County Sheriff's Office is proud to announce the launch of monthly WARDA® (Women Against Rape & Domestic Abuse®) Counter-Assault Training Classes at the Marion County City-County Building (CCB).

These FREE classes are open to Indianapolis and Marion County employees only and are designed to provide practical, reality-based skills to help participants recognize danger, respond effectively to violent encounters, and improve their personal safety.

Training will be held on these following dates in room T224 Conference room at the CCB.

No pre-registration is required.
No prior experience is necessary.
Walk-ins are welcome.
Training is provided FREE of charge.

WARDA® – Women Against Rape & Domestic Abuse®
"I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR MY OWN SAFETY."

INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION

We conduct WARDA Women Against Rape & Domestic Abuse (R) Instructor Certification on a regular basis. Interested individuals, Law Enforcement officers and people from different walks of life go through instructor training and get certified as WARDA Women Against Rape & Domestic Abuse (R) instructors. Certification is conducted for all three levels in WARDA Women Against Rape & Domestic Abuse (R) programs. There are WARDA Women Against Rape & Domestic Abuse (R) instructors in several countries around the world. Contact us if you would like to sponsor and host a WARDA Women Against Rape & Domestic Abuse (R) Instructor certification training.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY TO BECOME A WARDA (R) INSTRUCTOR

Although anyone can apply, train and certify to become a WARDA(R) instructor, we do have stipulations. In this way we know our instructors have some background in the fighting arts/ self defense/ and possess knowledge and skills on how the human body works and reacts in a combat situation.

Hence all applicants who wish to certify as WARDA(R) instructors should have a minimum of two (2) years in any martial arts or fighting discipline which includes boxing and wrestling OR be a certified Law Enforcement (LE) or Military instructor in a legitimate LE Defensive Tactics/Physical Tactics/ Combatives program.

This is to ensure the integrity of the program.
